Allegheny General Hospital is conducting a study evaluating the effect of inhaled and nasal steroids on short-term growth in children ages 12-15 with asthma or allergic rhinitis. The study uses a device called a knemometer, a non-invasive technique for evaluating short-term growth in children, and measurements will be performed at the Department of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology’s offices at 969 Greentree Road, Green Tree. Subjects will be compensated at $50 per visit for up to 18 visits. More information is available at http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01550471?term=knemometry&rank=3 or by calling 412.737.6288.
